Yearbooks will be distributed from the Otis Spunkmeyer Concession stand May 27-29. Anyone still wishing to pre-order a book needs to do so by Friday, May 16. They are $60 and can be purchased in room 203 or by calling the yearbook room at 713-740-0370 ext. 04282. Books are no longer available on Smart-Pay.com.
UPCOMING EVENTS
On May 19th, II Brothers Italian Restaurant is donating a percentage of the proceeds to Project Grad for all people who dine in or order take-out on that day. Customers just need to remember to eat there and mention Dobie.

SPEECH STUDENT WINS
STATE
On Saturday, May 10, sophomore Shekeyla Caldwell delivered her speech entitled, “Why Me, Why Not?” at the state Optimist Oratorical Contest in Austin, Texas. She had won the previous three levels of competition representing the Pasadena Noon Optimist Club. She won again. In addition to other signs of recognition, she is the recipient of a $1,500 college scholarship.
Ms. Boudra is her coach.
STUDENT ACCEPTED TO JULIARD

Dobie High School’s John Potter will be attending Juilliard next year for his Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance. John was two of 14 individuals selected from a rigorous audition process. Please click HERE to read the rest of the story.
